Warhawk patch v1.5 will provide trophies

2 07 2008

According to our friends over at TheSixthAxis Warhawk update v1.5 will give full trophy support.

Warhawk Update v1.5

The Warhawk update v1.5 will provide us with 56 trophies to unlock which will be assigned to our PSN ID. 10 of these 56 trophies will be achieved by completing some of the in-game challenges which are already avaliable to us through the current Warhawk stat/emblem system. If you’ve already completed all, or most of the in-game achievements already avaliable - don’t worry you don’t have to repeat the challenge again to receive your trophy within these 10 challenges! The PS3 software v2.40 will be able to detect whether you’ve already completed these 10 challenges and will be able to award you, respectively.

The downside to this is that we have to wait until Warhawk update v1.5 is released - v1.4 isn’t released yet, so we could be waiting for some time.

Warhawk’s Operation: Broken Mirror booster pack released

17 04 2008

Warhawk
Today - some of you may have noticed already - Warhawk’s Operation: Broken Mirror booster pack has been released on the PSN store.

The booster pack includes a new, large snow map named Vaporfield Glacier and a new vehicle, the “ACP” and is priced at £3.99 (roughly $6.99 USD). For those of you who are unsure what the ACP is, here are the specs:

• APCs support a driver and 6 other troops in “pop-up” hatches that allow troops to use their own weapons, making the APC like a customizable weapons platform.
• APCs act as mobile spawn points for your team so you can setup field bases, help coordinate ground assaults, and spawn directly into them as another player is driving them around.
• When you spawn into an APC, your troop is rewarded with an additional weapon based on an internal loot-table.
• APCs can activate a huge shield by placing an E-POD.
• APCs have a boost ability that not only allows them to traverse distances more quickly, but it also acts as a ram-attack that obliterates other vehicles (except the tank because of its super-heavy armor).

Collaboration of PS3 & Xbox 360 games!

8 01 2008

Hey guys, I made this video a couple of days back, consisting of some great titles for the PS3 & Xbox 360.

Check it out:

Warhawk booster pack now avaliable!

20 12 2007

Today the Warhawk booster pack was released for download (at a fee of £3.99).

The main features of this booster pack is the new level to play your online games, and a new vehicle; the dropship.

The drop ship is tremendously powerful, and has awesome defense. It can carry 6 people and a jeep at the same time… The downside is that it moves pretty slow around the maps.

Omega Dawn factory is the name of the new map for you to play around in. From what I’ve played so far, it’s a pretty cool map. It’s set at night, so obviously it’s dark throughout the map… Not too dark that you can’t see a thing though.

Have you guys downloaded the booster pack yet? Let me know what you think! :D

Warhawk - Operation: Omega Dawn info!

3 12 2007

Looks like we won’t be waiting long for the upcoming Warhawk expansion pack from Incognito Entertainment. It’s always been scheduled for a December release, but nothing any more specific than that. That’s where Sony comes in to drop a little hint.

Sony has just confirmed to Eurogamer that Warhawk - Operation: Omega Dawn will hit the PlayStation Network before Christmas. That’s jolly news to make your Christmases brighter - at least now, some of you’ll be able to occupy yourselves with something during the holidays.

Operation: Omega Dawn will introduce new map layouts and the KT-424 Combat Dropship. The best of all is the Omega Factory level which is set at night (see pic). The DLC will cost US$ 7.99.

Warhawk v1.2 patch details

24 10 2007

A detailed patch for the v1.2 Warhawk patch has been posted on the PlayStation blog. According to Dylan Jobe (game director), this patch fixes primary glitches/bugs and the team have added new features to what the Warhawk community have requested.

Here’s the list:

  • 5 New layouts.
  • Clan game server option.
  • Buddy slot reservations.
  • Integrated Warhawk Store.
  • Updated CTF capture/return behavior.
  • Internal stat padder protection.
  • Booster Pack status display at join game list.
  • DualShock3 integration.
  • Separate SIXAXIS motion control on/off per mode (ground, hover, flight).
  • Detailed Player Score display at end of game fixed.
  • Added new server type filters (player, ranked, dedicated, clan, Official Warhawk, etc).
  • Added new server full/open filter.
  • Fall damage exploit fixed.
  • Dismount into walls exploit fixed.
  • Invisible Tank, Turret & Warhawk exploit fixed.
  • Auto-kick of idle players.
  • Add to Favorites button added to end game screen.
  • Increased VOIP volume when not using the headset.

Exciting huh?!

Unfortunatly, the patch won’t be out until mid December time. Well, at least that gives them time to test and add new features!

I bet you’re all wondering what those new layouts are! They’re not exactly ‘new’, you’ll notice that. Basically they’re smaller versions of the current layouts.

Here’s what Dylan Jobe said about them:

We have found that while a lot of players like playing the really large games, there was a pretty big segment that was playing smaller games. With that trend, we wanted to rig some new layouts that are more geared for smaller games; 4 to 8 players. The new layouts are:

  • Eucadia: High City
  • Island Outpost: Standoff
  • The Badlands: South City
  • Destroyed Capitol: Garden Showdown
  • Archipelago: Close Corridors

And withthat said, here are a few sneak peaks of the 5 levels:

Eucadia: High City

Island Outpost: Standoff

The Badlands: South City

Destroyed Capitol: Garden Showdown

Archipelago: Close Corridors

Dylan also mentioned something about a “Booster pack” bought over the new Warhawk store coming up… I wonder what this could be?

“And of course I can’t end this post without mentioning the Booster Pack. So there, I said it…”Booster Pack” :-)

I’m looking forward to it.
