Alright everybody, we all know what happened yesterday, at Microsoft’s E3 - Final Fantasy XIII will now be released on the 360 as well as PS3. It is no longer a PS3 exclusive, however, the title Final Fantasy XIII Versus is still a PS3 exclusive, so it’s not all that bad.

Sony’s E3 press conference just finished, and I must say - some bombs have been dropped. The conference revealed some amazing upcoming titles and updates for Sony PS3, PS2 and PSP.

We discussed the forum/site updates not long ago, and finally they’re almost here!

The forums will have have received a major re-design - one that matches the homepage theme very well. PS3, Xbox 360 and PSP wallpapers will be avaliable to all members to download, avaliable in high resolution for those HD TV’s out there of course

Game saves are currently being implanted into the site’s database for the PS3 and PSP, which are avaliable to members - with no download limits! Other media such as videos, images, programs/firmwares will also be avaliable to download through our download section, again avaliable to members. This download section will continue to grow, more and more media will be added as time goes by!

Just to let you know, sorry I haven’t been filling the blog with gaming posts recently, I’m struck down with exams

Once the exams are all done, the site will be revamped, and many new features will be brought to the site! One major feature we’re going to be adding is that all gamers out there can share their own game media with others. This means that users will be able to upload their own media, which includes videos, save datas, cheats etc! Before these features come to the site, a select few people will be invited to try out the BETA before the new features go live. If you’re interested, email me.

The site will also be given a new look, so stay tuned and watch this space for more announcements.

The rumours surfing around the web that Blu-ray will be introduced to the Xbox 360 can now be put to rest.

Microsoft officially released a statement regarding the issue, here’s what they said:

As we have stated, we have no plans to introduce a Blu-ray drive for Xbox 360. Games are what drive consumers to purchase game consoles, and we remain focused on providing the largest library of blockbuster games available.

So, for now, it appears that Xbox 360 will not be seeing Blu-ray, ever!

Microsoft Japan ahve announced in a press release saying that the Xbox 360 will be receiving a  price cut come November 1.

While the console is experiencing success in Europe and North America, it is no secret that it’s having a hard time keeping pace with Sony’s PlayStation 3 and Nintendo’s Wii in the Land of the Rising Sun.

Accordingly, Microsoft Japan will be slashing off a total of 4,995 Yen (US$ 43.86) to the Xbox 360 itself bringing the price down to just 34,800 Yen or roughly US$ 305.57. Likewise, the Core System will also be getting a 2,000 Yen (US$ 17.56) price cut. Consumers can purchase the Core System package on November 1 for just 27,800 Yen (US$ 244).
